and remember that the economy is a construct, it’s as real as we make it… and these lives we’re all living are based on fantastical notions that capitalism equals freedom, they aren’t real. And the world economy crashing, if that happens, and we’re all fucked, then we’re all fucked together. And we’ll have to change the way we live. But maybe it’s a wakeup call to let us know that we can’t go on the way we’ve been living. We can’t carry on these terribly selfish, resource-hogging lives in which we just voraciously consume with no regard to how it affects the other 6.9 billion people we have to coexist with.
